The "valley of mills" in Longiaru
Old, restaured mills give an insight into the modus vivendi of mountain farmers.
Campill is a locality that belongs to San Martino in Badia, from where a valley branches off into the heart of the Dolomites. This valley is called Campill valley.
Between the hamlets Seres and Miscì, there is a hiking path which leads to the eight mills of this valley, which have been carefully restored and connected to this pleasant hiking path.
Only the first mill is open to the public, the other seven mills can only be admired from outside, but this is also very interesting, as it gives you an insight into the complex mill wheel system. Water channels, mill wheels and watergates pass on the water from the Seres river.
