Every year in December the FIS ski racing circus comes to the Gran Risa slope in Alta Badia
On the world-famous Gran Risa slope, since December 1985 World Cup races in alpine skiing are staged. This slope features a maximum gradient of 53% as well as an altitude difference of 448 m - a real challenge, also for the best alpine skiers. The Gran Risa is considered to be one of the most beautiful and most challenging ski slopes of the Alpine Ski World Cup.
Usually on the Gran Risa, a Giant Slalom of the male ski racing circus takes place. Since 2006 a special slalom has been added. Of course thousands of people come to the Alta Badia to see the World Cup races - the finish is directly located in the centre of La Villa.
