Saint Leonhard horse parade

Lavishly decorated horses and carriages parade in Alta Badia on the occasion of the 10th traditional Saint Leonhard horse parade.

On November 9, Alta Badia is venue for the 10th edition of the traditional Saint Leonhard horse parade. On this occasion, representatives of the five Ladin valleys meet in Alta Badia in traditional costumes in order to participate in the parade. The main protagonists, however, are the lavishly decorated horses and carriages. Moreover local music groups and folk groups will take part in the colourful parade. As the name of the event reveals, it is dedicated to Saint Leonhard, the patron of horses and horse riders.

On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the horse parade, a guided tour to the old farms of Alta Badia is organised. If you would like to take part in, just contact one of the tourist offices in the valley.
