Saint Leonhard Horse Parade

November 8, 2009 is the key date for a traditional event taking place in Alta Badia, which is the Leonardi horse parade.

Once again this year horses and horse riders will meet in Alta Badia at the beginning of November in order to celebrate harvest as well as the patron saint of horses, which is Saint Leonhard. To his honour there is the Saint Leonhard horse parade, in which representatives of all five Ladin Dolomite valleys are going to take part in their traditional costumes. However, the real protagonists of this event are the horses, which on this occasion are lushly decorated. Moreover local delicacies are offered for tasting on Sunday, November 8, 2009.
