Alta Badia is very popular with those who love ski touring and freeriding, as it offers lots of opportunities to undertake tours in an astonishingly beautiful landscape. Nevertheless these sports require fitness and you absolutely have to know the terrain. Moreover you shouldn't disregard snow and weather conditions. Just turn to an alpine guide, who will give you advice.

If you are a passionate freerider, you might have heard about Val Mezdì, a narrow valley in Gruppo Sella. This is the place where every year the popular "Dolomiti Freeride" is staged. In order to ski down the Val Mesdì you should best take the funicular to Sass Pordoi and walk to the Boè refuge. This is where the adventurous freeride begins. However, we only recommend this freeride to experienced freeriders.

Slightly more simple is the freeride from the foot of the Piz Ciampei towards Armentarola pastures.
