The effect of exercising in the outdoors on higher altitudes is further increased. Up there, on a highland at 2,000 m a.s.l. between the villages of Corvara, La Villa and San Cassiano, more precisely between Mt. Col Alto, Mt. Piz La Ila and Mt. Piz Sorega, the so-called Movimënt Fitness Parks are located - recreational parks on two particularly pretty belvedere. A real outdoor adventure!
The recreational parks include Kneipp cures, that's to say water treading in fresh mountain water, the best way to make tired feet fit again and stimulate the circulation (in the picture there's the Kneipp facility on Mt. Piz Sorega). Furthermore, fitness equipment is available in order to work your muscles and improve your balance and coordination in the middle of alpine meadows and beneath the impressive rock faces of the Dolomites, with a fantastic view on Mt. Marmolada, the highest peak of the Dolomites. Due to the fact that the Movimënt Fitness Parks are located on a high plateau, there are also enough paths to enjoy Nordic walking or jogging.
The parks stay open also during the winter months and offer winter sports enthusiasts snow parks with jumps and boarder cross as well as activities for young and old. Three photo points allow you to take home a beautiful memory of your stay in Alta Badia - they are located at the famous Gran Risa slope and at the Vallon and Biok mountain stations.
