Paraciora Deer Park

In Sompunt, part of the municipality of Badia and known for its eponymous lake at 1,460 m a.s.l., you can live a close encounter with red deer, one of the largest wild animals of the Alpine region.

These beautiful animals live on an area of seven hectares, characterised by meadows and forests, where they can move freely. A 2 km long circular trail, starting at the Rif. Paraciora mountain hut, makes the observation of these majestic animals in the Paraciora Deer Park possible. Please note that deer are wild animals. Even if they should approach you, please do not pet or feed them.

By the way: the above mentioned mountain hut is located near the beautiful old farmhouse of the Sompunt Family and can be reached by car. On the sun terrace you can enjoy a fresh cappuccino or local delicacies, while your children can play on the nearby playground.
