Sellaronda, that’s how the popular tour on skis round Gruppo Sella is called. Already in times when there were hardly any lift facilites, the Gruppo Sella was partly surrounded on skis by the inhabitants of the Dolomite valleys. However, today the Sellaronda is a very popular tour on skis in great scenic landcape and fascinates those who love winter sports.
The Sellaronda includes about 40 km of ski slopes as well as 4 Dolomite passes, which are Gardena, Sella, Pordoi and Campolongo. Even if a minimum of fitness and skiing skills are required, you can also do this tour if your skiing capabilites are moderate.
By the way: you can ski the Sellaronda in clockwise direction (orange) as well as counter clockwise (green).
