Freeride Val Mezdì

Freeriding down this narrow rocky gully is not for the faint-hearted. Only experts should dare to face this challenge, as the Val Mezdì is really steep and bounded by craggy rock faces. It is about 3 km long and features a drop of 1,100 m. The average gradient is 34 %. At its foot, there is the village of Colfosco.

A well-known freeride race was also held here, as far back as the days of the skiing pioneers in the 1940s. In the 2000s, this classic freeride run in the Eastern Alps made a comeback as the 'Alta Badia Dolomites Freeride Race'.
