Four Michelin stars are shining in Alta Badia, divided between two gourmet restaurants in the valley and their brilliant chefs.
On a small area in Alta Badia, along the few kilometres between Corvara and San Cassiano, there are two gourmet restaurants with a total of four stars of the Michelin gourmet guide.
The Restaurant St. Hubertus in the Hotel & Spa Rosa Alpina in San Cassiano has been decorated with three Michelin stars again. Its famous chef, Norbert Niederkofler, grown up in the Valle Aurina valley, has returned to South Tyrol in 1994, after many years abroad. He's also the founder of the "Chef's Cup South Tyrol", which has been replaced in 2017 by “Care’s - The ethical chef days”. Since November 25, 2020, he is also the bearer of the Michelin Green Clover for sustainable initiatives in the gastronomy sector. This prize was awarded for the first time in 2020.
The second restaurant is the La Stüa de Michil in the Hotel La Perla in Corvara with its chef Nicola Laera who has again been awarded with one Michelin star. Michelin chef since 2013, he has been one of the youngest ever awarded chefs. Local high quality products are in the centre of attention when creating the starred dishes. Indulge and enjoy!
