From La Val (Wengen) a forest path leads up to the Armentara Meadows and to the Ranch da Andre Mountain Hut - also a beautiful destination in autumn

Above La Val we drive past the hamlet of Funtanela to the car parks in the interior of the valley. This is where our hike starts: path no. 15 leads along the edge of the forest and across meadows into the area of the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park. Through the forest we then walk uphill, the forest path merges with the pilgrims' path to La Crusc and finally reaches the area of the Armentara Meadows.

While in summer there are the extensive flower meadows, in autumn it is the red and yellow shining larch forest that completes the already impressive Dolomite panorama on the Fanes group. Here we now follow the signpost "Ranch da Andre", which soon brings us to the mountain hut where we have planned our lunch break. About 350 metres of altitude difference we had to master.

The views extend from Marmolada and Gardenaccia to the main Alpine ridge with the Stubai and Tux Alps. After a tasty lunch we return to the starting point along the same route.
